Looking at the reputation of Cartier perfume today, many people have finally understood and accepted the fact of why Cartier the world renown jeweler embarked onto the arduous journey to produce one of the best perfumes in the industry, while risking their hard earned reputation. Since its founding in Paris in 1847 by its founder Louis-Francois Cartier, Cartier has never failed to deliver the highest quality of their products to their customers.
The world renowned jeweler first ventured into the world of perfume and cologne through the introduction of their first fragrance for men, the Santos de Cartier perfume. The Santos de Cartier perfume was launched in 1981, as an elegant men’s perfume. Santos being also the name of the first wristwatch that Cartier had made is also assigned to the first men’s perfume created by Cartier. Santos was named after the name of Louis Cartier’s friend, Alberto Santos-Dumont that provided Cartier with the idea of creating a wristwatch for aviator who found that the pocket watch is too cumbersome when flying. The Santos perfume is packaged in an elegant and attractive packaging of dark amber that portrays a hint of the Orient.
Originating from Paris, Santos de Cartier perfume is designed to suit the weather in the region that is mainly colder. Concocted from the essence oils of Lavender, Juniper Berries, Basil, Lemon Verbena, Bergamot, Rosemary, nutmeg, Pepper, Vetiver, Geranium, Sandal wood, Amber, Patchouli, Coconut, Vanilla, and Cedar, with such a strong and manly scent, the perfume also make a great party scent to be worn during the cool evening night out.
I like this fragrance is because of its splendid mixtures of sweetness with patchouli and sandalwood that brings back many memories for me. In fact similar to the Issey Miyake aftershave that I have been using all this years, this is one of my favorite perfumes, ever since I got hold a bottle of it. This is simply Cartier men’s perfume at its finest.
